The Company We are an independent company, established over twenty rears ago to design and manufacture Safe & Efficient Battery Handling Equipment. We are not tied to any battery manufacturer in any way, however we can handle any make or mix of batteries for any European manufacturer of warehouse and counter balance trucks. Any battery management system with any mix of batteries and chargers will also integrate easily with our systems. The Range Our product range developed over 20 years, is more comprehensive for European requirements than any other, reflecting European law and user demands on design, quality and customer support. Our range covers patented battery maintenance trucks & manual change carts, mechanically assisted change carts and powered attachments, together with monorail cranes and ‘specials’ where required. For those trucks not having side removal we design a suitable monorail unit to integrate with our systems. In certain cases trucks can be converted to side battery removal. Our roller beds and system racking are all designed and manufactured at our Stratford upon Avon factory which also enables us to give above average support and confidence to our users. These are all supplied in (KD) knock down form to ease storage and transport costs but are designed for very easy installation. All our racks and roller beds are modular and very space efficient with an option of support stands for free standing chargers or the increasingly popular high frequency (HF) chargers – all types: Top of the range are our powered, single level, two high, three high and even four high man on board systems. Where required we offer 4 battery slot change cars, this means 3 x order picker type batteries can be carried, drastically speeding up change over during busy periods. We do not use powered rollers this coupled with the method used to move our magnet makes our single level car very reliable & probably the fastest. The magnet is small in size but very powerful & fast, and certainly faster and more reliable than any of the suction type systems that we have knowledge of. We also offer battery washing equipment which will neutralise acid and extract the heavy metals into tanks during the process. Service Support MASH-B realises a system breakdown, can seriously reduce availability of the truck fleet. Proper system maintenance, parts availability and prompt repair are obviously vital. The ratio of fork lift trucks to battery handling systems in the country is very high, thus battery handling systems are geographically speaking quite spread out around the UK. Users of lift trucks usually have an effective call-out agreement with their FLT supplier who will be familiar with all necessary aspects of their company and will normally, in our experience, have the machine back in service very quickly. In engineering terms a battery handling system is very similar to a forklift truck and racking system. So the ideal man for the job is a qualified fork lift truck service engineer.
